Melissa Stark is a sideline NFL reporter who was recruited by ESPN in 1996, when she started her career in sports as the host of Scholastic Sports America, covering the stories of high school and collegiate athletes. She also started to regularly appear on ESPN’s flagship programmes, including Sunday NFL Countdown, and occasionally made an appearance on SportsCenter.

From 2000 to 2003, Stark worked as a sideline reporter for the NFL until being hired by ABC Sports to cover Monday Night Football. Additionally, she patrolled the sidelines during Super Bowl XXXVII in San Diego, where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won their first Lombardi Trophy after defeating the Oakland Raiders.

She continues to report for Sunday Night Football and work for the NFL Network. Interviewing draught candidates and their families on the red carpet during the NFL Draught, she established herself as a mainstay. Every season, she also covers the NFL Honours Awards.

After working in a studio for a few years, the 2022 NFL season was her first trip back to the sidelines of an NFL game since that incident. She has had the opportunity to cover sports other than the National Football League during her tenure with NBC Sports.
