Born on July 15, 1988, Roman Dolidze is a mixed martial artist from Georgia, and currently fights in the middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). 


Dolidze has been a professional fighter since 2016, and was previously the light heavyweight champion of the global Warriors Fight Championship (WWFC), the ADCC Asia & Oceania champion, and the Grappling FILA global champion. He is ranked #8 in the UFC middleweight standings as of August 1, 2023. 


Roman spent the final three years of his eight-year football career as a professional keeper. He came to Ukraine at age 20 to pursue his education and began training in sambo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and eventually grappling. 


Under the guidelines of United World Wrestling, he then went on to win the titles of World and European Grappling Champion as well as ADCC Asia & Oceania Champion at 99 kg (218 pounds) in 2016. He qualified for the renowned ADCC Worlds Tournament in 2017 as a result, although he was eliminated in the opening round; he began his MMA training at the age of 28.
