Iga Swiatek's Husband

Iga Swiatek is a Polish professional tennis player. She was born on the 31st of May 2001. Her full name is Iga Natalia Świątek. As of now, she is ranked world #1 by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). The young tennis star has won the major singles titles three times and has won the French Open two times and also won the 2022 US Open as well. Swiatek is the first tennis player to represent Poland to triumph in a major singles title. So far, she has won 12 WTA Tour-level titles.

Iga Swiatek Family

Born on May 31, 2001, in Warsaw, Poland to parents Tomasz and Dorota Swiatek. Her father Tomasz represented Poland in the 1998 Seoul Olympics in the men’s quadruple sculls tournament as an Olympian rower. On the other hand, her mother Dorota studied medicine and her profession is an orthodontic expert. Swiatek also has an older sister Agata who was originally a swimmer but later changed her career path and became a dentist.

Iga Swiatek Early Life

Iga started playing tennis at a very young age. It was her father Tomasz who wanted his daughters to become professional athletes and advised them to opt for an individual sport instead of a team sport to have better supervision of their rate of success. Swiatek’s older sister Agata who is three years older than her initially began as a swimmer, but she later changed to tennis after she had problems with swimming. Iga then followed in her sister’s footsteps as she wanted to beat her sister in tennis because she admired her and wanted to play like her. Agata then took part in the ITF Junior circuit in 2013 when she was about 15 years of age, but her career was cut short due to injuries, and went on to become a dentist. At 14, Iga trained hard at Mera Warsaw before eventually shifting to Legia Warsaw.
