Following that he was a member of the Wildcats and later set a record of twenty-six points in his debut for the college. However, his freshman season at Kentucky was cut short by the pandemic. Nevertheless, he was selected 21st overall pick in the first round by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2020 NBA draft.
