Tottenham Hotspur, one of the big six in the English Premier League has announced the joining of Ange Postecoglou as their new head coach. The ink has dried as the 57-year-old signed a four-year contract deal with Tottenham Hotspur.
Daniel Levy, chairman of the English club has expressed his enthusiasm for the arrival of Ange Postecoglou:
“Ange brings a positive mentality and a fast, attacking style of play. He has a strong track record of developing players and an understanding of the importance of the link from the academy – everything that is important to our Club. We are excited to have Ange join us as we prepare for the season ahead.”
Ange Postecoglou’s arrival at Tottenham Hotspur comes after his two-year spell at Celtic where he enjoyed a successful and illustrious time. During his tenure at Celtic, Postecoglou achieved a feat of amassing five trophies including a domestic treble in the year 2022-23.
Before the arrival of Ange Postecoglou at Celtic, the English club accumulated 77 points an underwhelming result as compared to their arch-rivals Rangers who sat comfortably on top with 102 points.
The arrival of Ange brought along an extraordinary transformation of the club which lead to back to back domestic league titles for the club with 93 and 99 points respectively.
Ange Postecoglou’s arrival at Tottenham has marked a new beginning for the club. A club which has struggled with internal matters and unsuccessful attempts to build a strong foundation will look to flip the cards in the coming season.
