If you are a normal citizen and you get arrested, not many people come to know about your wrongdoings but if you are an NFL player and you get arrested for something you have done, your story is guaranteed to make headlines and suddenly, it’s everywhere whether the social media platforms or the newspapers. You can’t get away with it.

 

So, here are some of the Top 10 arrests that the NFL wants you to forget.

  • Plaxico Burress

Plaxico Burress arrest

Securing the top spot is none other than Plaxico Burress. In November 2008, the former NFL player accidentally fired himself on his thigh while trying to move the pistol that was tucked in his trousers. As he was reaching for the pistol, he erroneously pulled the trigger.

 

After being discharged from the hospital, Plaxico turned himself in for illegal possession of a firearm.

  • Eugene Robinson

Eugene Robinson

Eugene Robinson who was a part of the Falcon’s defense earned a trip to the Pro Super Bowl. Just the day before the Super Bowl, he was awarded the Bart Starr Award for his high ethical nature.  However, Robinson, and his high ethical nature, got into a bit of a problem later that evening. 

 

He was apprehended for attempting to give money to an undercover officer that was posing as a prostitute banknotes to conduct particular “acts” on him.

  • Shaun Rogers

Shaun Rogers

The arrest of Shaun Rogers in 2010 truly deserves a spot on the Top 3 in the list. Shaun was apprehended at the Cleveland Hopkins Airport for possessing a loaded firearm in his carry bag. We’re not sure what he was thinking at that time but did he really think that he would get away with a loaded gun past security? 

  • Najeh Davenport

Najeh Davenport

This one is actually very embarrassing and stupid at the same time and hence, the incident that led to Najeh Davenport’s arrest is fourth on the list.

 

Davenport was arrested for sneaking into a woman’s room and popping in her laundry basket.

 

The most hilarious part of this whole case was when Davenport swore his innocence and shouted, “Where’s the evidence?  Where’s the manure?” 

  • Kenyatta Jones

Kenyatta Jones

Kenyatta Jones was part of the New England Patriots. He was expelled by New England after being charged for throwing burning hot water on his roomie. But this isn’t his only arrest.

 

Although this exact arrest didn’t happen while he was playing in the NFL, the fact that he was once a part of the pro football team was reasonable enough to be on the Top 5. In 2008, Jones was apprehended for trying to pee on the dance floor in a Tampa Bay nightclub. 

  • Pat McAfee

Pat McAfee

Pat McAfee was apprehended for public drunkenness after he was found semi-naked and drenched. He was apparently trying to smash into an automobile. The cops were called on him when the lady who owned the automobile caught him in the act.

  • Randy Moss

Randy Moss

While attempting to make an unlawful turn, a lady officer tried to halt Randy Moss by placing herself in front of his moving car. Rather than halting as most normal people would, Moss chose to bump her with his vehicle. The lady fell flat to the ground, and Moss was apprehended for suspicion of charge with a fatal weapon.

  • Onterrio Smith

Onterrio Smith

In 2005, Onterrio Smith was put behind bars at the airport in Minneapolis-Saint Paul for bringing dried urine and a suspicious-looking gadget that nobody has ever seen before. 

 

After a thorough investigation, airport security declared the gadget is called Whizzinator. For those who don’t know, a Whizzinator is equipment that makes dried urine into a liquid one that will let you easily pass any drug tests.

 

Smith was ejected for the whole season after failing his third drug test. He was dismissed by Minnesota the next year.

  • Raheem Brock

Raheem Brock

Raheem Brock was arrested after he bailed on a mere $27 bill at a pub. Well apparently, he had a little brawl with the cops briefly after he took off from the pub. 

  • JaMarcus Russell

JaMarcus Russell

In 2010, JaMarcus Russell was apprehended in his residence for being illegally in possession of codeine syrup. Seemingly, his “purple drank” has a strong discomfort drug in it. However, it is illegal if you have it without any proper prescription and Russell did not have any prescription.
