Born on December 11, 1992, Malcolm Moses Brogdon is an American professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He participated in college basketball for Tony Bennett’s Virginia Cavaliers.
As a senior, Malcolm was a first-team All-American by wide consensus in 2015–16. He was also selected the Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year for the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), making him the only player in conference history to get both rewards in the same year. The Milwaukee Bucks selected Malcolm Brogdon with the 36th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. On July 30, 2016, he became a member of the Bucks. He took part in his debut NBA game on October 26, 2016, in which the Bucks lost to the Charlotte Hornets (107-96), with eight points and five assists in 21 minutes.
On November 1, 2016, the New Orleans Pelicans were defeated 117-113 thanks to his 14 points and four steals. He made all seven of his shots on December 23, 2016, to defeat the Washington Wizards 123-96. With seven assists and 17 points overall, he had a successful game.

Brogdon’s mother, Dr. Jann Adams, once served as the department’s chair at Morehouse College. She currently serves as the science and math associate dean.
When he was eleven, his mother and father separated. Gino, the elder brother of Brogdon, is a practicing lawyer, and John, the other older brother, is a law student.
