Lacrosse is a sport widely known for its squad work and aggressiveness. This sport is one of the oldest in North America. The gameplay of this sport is super fun and pumps up the fans. Here are some of the names of the best players in the world.
1. Tom Schreiber
If you’ve been paying attention to pro games, this may not come as a surprise as to why Tom Schreiber is at no. 1. Simply put, he’s the most excellent offensive weapon at the midfield role. He has the master ship to sub onto the field, handle the ball, make any player shift, and score. This kind of skill which you rarely see from other players. Schreiber can dominate a game whenever he wishes for it.
- Garrett Epple
He is by far the best defenseman in the PLL and there’s no doubt about it. He can do everything, ground balls, results in turnovers, close defense, enforces, and has a rather useful transition game.
Back in 2019, he had twenty three caused turnovers which is plenty more than any other player in the PLL could do. Epple also had forty GBs, directing all defensemen of that sort. In 2020, even though he was suspended, he came in tied for 4th place in CTs with nine. He also has seventeen GB’s and has the finest stats out of any defense player.
3. Matt Rambo
Undoubtedly, Matt Rambo is the best all-around attackman in the league. He tops the PLL with 17 assists and overall scores. He scores in grip points, as Rambo can quarterback the offense and hand out assist after assist. He is a professional player who has been placed first in his two seasons appearance in the PLL.
It is difficult to put him at the top 3 of this list, but if you have watched him play, I’m sure many of you will agree.
4. Randy Staats
Good players always catch our attention and in case you’re why Randy Staats is placed fourth on the list, you have probably missed out on the MLL this summer. Over time, Staats has been deemed one of the most talented attackmen in PL for some seasons now, but as of 2022, he has indeed gone up to a much higher standard of offensive sorcery. Staats is dominating the league in both assists and points.
- Blaze Riorden
You may agree to disagree but Blaze Riorden is the best goalie out there in the field. Any team can have a great player but a good goalie can stop them from scoring which can turn the game around. Often he saves the teams when in a pinch and lets his team know that he is very much present. With PLL’s media entry often granting you an insight into squad dynamics, Riorden is always the one overseeing the huddles, and the team sessions, and he is also the face of that franchise.
- Zed Williams
Zed Williams is the sort of attackman that can reverse a game when he gets heated up. We witnessed his six scores in the championship while attacking 43%. There was no way of preventing him in that game, and it is another big chunk to the puzzle as to how the Whipsnakes team kept the belt while failing so many players in the additional draft.
- Marcus Holman
Marcus Holman hangs around as one of the game’s top GLE dodgers, clever powerplay finishers, and righty-set shooters. Too Detailed? Well, believe it or not, Holman is still vicious on or off the ball in a way that most people somehow still underrated him but surely, he deserves a spot in this list.
- Zach Currier
Zach Currier is the full package. If you want him to play defense in transition, he can. If you also need him to grab GBs during the FO, without a doubt can. He’s a versatile player that does anything at his best. If you want him to score, you only need one other midfield alternative to place above him. He has a natural command to create his shot and produce easy shots for himself i.e. the 50 percent shot rate.
- Kyle Bernlohr
You do not win championships continuously without skilled goalie play. Kyle Bernlohr easily stops the goal from scoring and especially he simply does not let the effortless shots go in. Well, there are indeed one or two better goalies than him but that doesn’t mean that you should underestimate him. Trust me no one can provide you with the consistency of stopping the easy shots like he does. Bernlohr is the leader for the continuous champion’s defense and therefore, has to be on this list.
- Justin Guterding
Justin Guterding’s best trait as a pro lacrosse player is his witty game sense. With Guterding in the field, there is not a single wasted movement, no over-carrying, and no excessive flashiness. But only the greatness of performance. He is looked up to by every other player on the field. Also there are times where defenders discuss who has to cover him. They are well aware that if they keep their eyes off of him even for a second a goal is the most probable outcome.
