Born on July 31, 1993, Swedish goalie Linus Ullmark plays ice hockey professionally for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL). In the sixth round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, 163rd overall, he was chosen by the Buffalo Sabres.
Following his 2012 draft selection, Linus Ullmark played three seasons with Modo in the Swedish Hockey League before relocating to the United States. Ullmark divided the 2015-16 season between Buffalo and Rochester of the American Hockey League. In 20 NHL appearances, he was 8-10-2 with a 2.60 goals-against average and a.913 save percentage.
Ullmark played in just six NHL games (four starts) throughout the course of the next two seasons despite his outstanding stat line. He stayed with the Sabres for the 2018–19 season, where he was expected to serve as Carter Hutton’s backup after the latter inked a three-year deal. Ullmark, however, spent a lot of time in the net since Hutton was having trouble staying consistent.
