Linn Maria Grant, known as Linn Grant, is a Swedish LPGA and Ladies European Tour golfer. Grant is the granddaughter of Scottish golf professional James Grant, who moved from Inverness to Helsingborg, Sweden.
James and Linn Grant won the Scottish Boys Championship and British Amateur Stroke Play Championship at North Berwick Golf Club approximately 50 years apart. Sadly, Linn lost her grandfather at six. Her father, John Grant, has won many Swedish Senior Tour tournaments.
Linn Grant stood second in the 2018 Major Champions Invitational in Florida, fifth at the 2019 European Ladies Amateur Championship, and in the 2019 British Ladies Amateur semifinals. These accomplishments earned an invitation to the 2019 Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
She was crucial to the 2017 European Junior Solheim Cup team and the 2019 Vagliano Trophy win for Europe. Grant won the 2018 Women’s British Open qualifying but missed the main event cut after tough rounds.
Grant became professional in August 2021, 4th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. She won her first professional tournament at the Terre Blanche Ladies Open in France after two second-place performances on the Ladies European Tour.
She got her LPGA Tour card in December 2021 and extended her winning streak on the Sunshine Ladies Tour in South Africa and at the Joburg Ladies Open in early 2022.
Linn became the first woman to win on the European Tour, now the DP World Tour, at the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed in June 2022. This mixed-gender contest in Sweden pitted her against men and women. After finishing second the previous two years, she won the 2022 Skaftö Open.
She won her maiden LPGA Tour title at the Dana Open in July 2023, becoming the 14th Swedish golfer to do it.
