It goes without saying that Rob Gronkowski enjoys himself. The former tight end for the Patriots and Buccaneers has frequently been spotted having a good time over the summer.
Julian Edelman, a former New England teammate, claimed that when it came down to it, Gronk was as focused as anyone on game day.
Edelman intended to make that point apparent when he stated on Saturday that a rumour about Gronkowski’s partying that had been going around was entirely false.
Former Patriots defensive end Jake Bequette alleged that throughout the season, Gronkowski would go out partying in Boston until 3 or 4 a.m. and then get dropped off at the team facilities by his pals. Then, according to rumours, he would collapse on a training table and die while receiving IV fluids from team trainers.
In contrast, Edelman said in a tweet on Saturday night that the report is categorically incorrect.
“Story is BS,” Edelman tweeted. Gronk is portrayed as a party animal by everyone. But in truth, he was one of his most devoted teammates, explained Edelman.
Patrick Chung, a former defensive back for New England, added to the argument and backed up Edelman’s claim that Bequette’s tale is inaccurate. “Exactly,” Chung wrote in a tweet. “People just want their time of fame. Willing to do anything to get it.”
Bequette received a Super Bowl ring for the 2014 season and played in the NFL solely from 2012 to 2015 (all with the Patriots).
