Former Zimbabwe cricketer Heath Streak is not dead, contrary to reports that circulated on social media on Wednesday.

Henry Olonga posted a screenshot of a recent WhatsApp conversation between him and Streak, clearly demonstrating that the latter is very much alive.

The rumors of Streak’s death began circulating on social media on Wednesday morning. Some people claimed that Streak had died in a car accident, while others said that he had died of a heart attack.

There is no evidence to support either of these claims.

Streak, who is 50 years old, played 60 Tests and 198 ODIs for Zimbabwe. He is the country’s all-time leading wicket-taker in both formats.

He retired from international cricket in 2005.

Streak has not yet commented publicly on the rumors.

Heath Streak, one of Zimbabwe’s most successful cricketers, has represented his country in numerous international matches, earning respect and admiration for his exceptional skills and dedication to the sport.
