Harleen Deol was born on the 21st of June 1998 to parents Charanjit Kaur Deol and Baghel Singh Deol. She was raised in a Sikh Family. Her birthplace is Chandigarh, Punjab. As of March 2023, she is 24 years of age. Deol who is a professional Indian cricketer currently plays for Himachal Pradesh. Her position is mainly attacking right-hand batter who also sometimes bowls right-arm leg spin.
Her mother Charanjit is a government servant while her father Baghel is a businessman. She has an older brother named Manjot Singh Deol who is a doctor. For her early education, she went to the Yadavindra Public School in Mohali whereas, for her college, she enrolled in Mehr Chand Mahajan (MCM) DAV College for Women.
In the more briefer formats of the game including ODIs and T20Is, Harleen Deol batted in the center of the order. She played an integral part in the Indian women’s team reaching the 2020 ICC Women’s World T20 Final, which commemorated India’s first time appearing in this match of the tournament. Deol was also a crucial part of the Indian women’s squad that won the silver medal in the 2022 Commonwealth Games which was held in Birmingham.
This was the first time in history for the women’s cricket squad to have appeared at the Commonwealth Games and just the second appearance that cricket had been played there. It was in 2010 that she made her domestic cricket career debut for Punjab. However, due to her dad’s job later that same year, Harleen was coerced to move to Himachal Pradesh. Soon she started playing for Himachal Pradesh. During this time, she started participating in HPCA when she was just 13 years of age. In 2013, she played her initial T20 match for Himachal Pradesh. She also took part in the North Zone in the U-19 cricket squad in 2015.
She made headlines in her first T201 match as she showcased one of the most sensational catches in the history of women’s cricket which led to Amy Jones’s dismissal.
Harleen participated in her first ODI for her nation against England. She made her debut in the IPL later that year and is a part of the Trailblazers. Deol was also chosen for the women’s T20 World Cup in 2020.
