Drum Jones was born on November 28, 2003. His birth name is Andruw “Druw” Nicholas Jones. He is an American pro baseball outfielder. Jones was recruited 2nd overall pick in the 2022 MLB draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks.
He is regarded as one of the top promising talents for the Major League Baseball (MLB) draft in 2022 which the Diamondbacks chose Jones as the 2nd overall pick. The young talent signed with the MLB Arizona Diamondbacks, accepting a declared signing compensation of over $8 million. On July 26, 2022, it was disclosed that the young outfielder suffered a shoulder injury on his left while putting up with his first batting training with the organization. He has to undergo surgery on the 3rd of August to fix the posterior labrum of his left shoulder.
Jones, whose parents are the retired MLB outfielder Adrum Jones and Nicole Jones, is the oldest of two siblings. The young star has been committed to the sport since he was very young.
When he just learned how to walk, his dad Adrum Jones started teaching him a whole lot of baseball tricks. His dad was an outstanding player during his time and he wanted to teach him the things that he learned throughout his prolific career.
It was only a matter of time before Jones started showing his interest in and love for baseball. As a result, the young outfielder also wanted to follow the same path as his father and he went on to pursue a career in baseball although he still had school to go to. Therefore, his parents decided to enroll him at Wesleyan School in Peachtree Corners, Georgia.
While in school, he played baseball and he was always at the top of his game not just in the sport but he was good at his studies as well which made his peers envious of him for being good at both. So as a junior, Druw Jones had an exceptional record that made him earn the Gwinnett Daily Post Baseball Player of the Year after.

According to his place of birth, Druw Jones is an American citizen. Nevertheless, his father Adruw Jones comes from Willemstad, Curacao, an island in the southern Caribbean Sea.
It is also believed that Jones and his family have a tiny bit of Dutch Origin as the Island comprises a constituent nation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
