Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is reportedly edging closer to a move to Serie A giants Lazio, as advanced talks between the player and the Italian club are underway. Journalist Fabrizio Romano has indicated that Lazio is currently leading the race for Hudson-Odoi’s signature, although there is also interest from other Premier League clubs. It appears that his time at Stamford Bridge is coming to an end, following a lacklustre loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen in the previous season.

While the destination for Hudson-Odoi is yet to be confirmed, Lazio seems to be the most likely option at the moment, with negotiations progressing positively for the potential transfer.

Chelsea fans may feel disappointed that the young winger couldn’t fulfil the early promise he showed. However, it seems that now is the right time for both Hudson-Odoi and the club to part ways. With the presence of other attacking options like Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke, and Mykhaylo Mudryk, it appears unlikely that Hudson-Odoi will be able to reclaim a regular starting position at Chelsea.

As the transfer talks continue, football enthusiasts will be eagerly watching to see where Callum Hudson-Odoi’s career path leads and whether a fresh start at Lazio could reignite his potential and help him thrive in a new environment.
