Kessel has been a part of the US women’s national ice hockey squad and spent a total of four seasons with the Minnesota Golden Gophers of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA). She also previously played in the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL) for the Metropolitan Riveters. As of now, the ice hockey forward plays in the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association (PWHPA) for New Hampshire. Kessel also served as the Captain of the Championship Squad at the Pink Whitney Cup.
