José Alberto Pujols Alcántara, a Dominican-American former first baseman and designated hitter, was born on January 16, 1980.
Being referred to as “The Machine”, Pujols spent 22 seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim/Los Angeles Angels, and Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball (MLB).
