The Reds are one of several teams fighting for the signing of the 17-year-old following an impressive breakout season with the French champions, according to RMC Sport.

Borussia Dortmund is also considering a move for Zaire-Emery, while the treble winners’ Manchester City are interested in including the teenager in a deal including Bernardo Silva, who has been linked with leaving the Etihad Stadium.

The gifted Frenchman is now valued at £17 million by CIES Football Observatory, but this price will undoubtedly rise over the ensuing seasons.

Yohan Cabaye, the PSG Deputy Academy Director, responded when asked about his thoughts on Zaire-Emery’s rapid rise: “I’m not surprised. He has the intelligence to understand and also the knowledge that he must continue working, and he has the behaviour, the fantastic behaviour that allows him to play.

The centre midfielder, who is still just 17 years old, is one of Europe’s most brilliant young players. Since making his senior debut in PSG’s season-opening Ligue 1 game, he has made a total of 31 appearances across all competitions, making two goals in that time.

“He deserves everything he has.”

According to FBref, he already has a top 15% ranking among midfielders in the top five leagues in Europe for non-penalty goals, a top 19% ranking for progressive carries, a top 10% ranking for successful take-ons, a top 5% ranking for progressive passes received per 90, and a top 3% ranking for pass completion over the past year.

Zaire-Emery, who Joe Cole described as having “incredible talent,” would surely be a part of Liverpool’s first-team setup if he were to sign. According to Sofascore, this season in the French top flight, he completed 92% of his passes and succeeded with 59% of his dribbles. Interestingly, according to Premier League statistics from the previous season, these figures would place first in the Reds’ roster.

Given his extraordinary beginnings, he may even outperform Spaniard Stefan Bajcetic’s potential on Merseyside; the 18-year-old boxing prodigy has received all the attention this season for his breakout performances.

If the Liverpool team were to sign the PSG phenomenon this season, he would undoubtedly cost a pretty penny, but he is unquestionably one of the most talented players in the world. Nicknamed “the robot” by his colleagues,

advanced youngsters around and would only enhance Klopp’s squad with his dynamic abilities that belie his tender age.
