Real Valladolid’s head of football, Fran Sánchez, confirmed that Mallorca’s most recent offer of about six million euros for Larin has not increased. Larin has a different offer from an unnamed overseas team, but he is eager to stay in the Spanish League.
Cyle Larin is currently not participating in Valladolid’s preseason practises since he is in Jamaica working with a club attorney to resolve his dual nationality. When he gets it, his favourite Spanish club may benefit as he won’t need a foreign player slot anymore. Larin is anticipated to arrive in Pucela in the middle of the week to decide his fate.
A second international team, besides Mallorca, has expressed interest in the striker, although their bid is below Valladolid’s asking price. However, Larin’s preference is to stay in Spain, thus Mallorca is a desirable choice.
Despite Valladolid’s relegation from the Spanish League last year, Larin made an impression. For 1.5 million euros, the club chose to buy Larin’s rights from Belgian team Bruges, securing them for the duration until 2025. Larin is highly regarded by Valladolid’s head coach, Javier Aguirre, but the team is struggling financially and must make the required sales while assembling a strong team in preparation for their return to the First Division.
