Adrian Mazilu, a brilliant 17-year-old youngster from the Romanian champion squad, is expected to be transferred to Brighton, the Premier League’s surprise package in the previous season after they finished sixth and qualified for the UEFA Europa League the following year.
According to ProSport, Brighton will shell out four million euros as a transfer fee to obtain Mazilu’s services. Farul, Mazilu’s present club, will also keep a portion of any future transfer fees and could get further bonuses dependent on how well the player does in the Premier League.
Farul has already moved between Brighton and Farul. Tudor Băluță joined the British club in 2019 for 2.9 million euros, although he struggled to make an impression and did not play in any of Brighton’s Premier League games.
Along with Mazilu, Andrei Borza, another Farul star, is drawing interest from teams like PSV Eindhoven and Fulham, which might result in a big move for him as well.
Mazilu, who was estimated to be worth 1.3 million euros by specialised websites, had a standout season with Farul, making 21 appearances, scoring seven goals, and contributing a crucial assist.
Expressing his aspirations, Mazilu had previously stated, “I watch matches from the SuperLiga, Spanish and English leagues. Playing in the Premier League is my dream, as it is the strongest championship. I hope to take this step in the future.”
Adrian Mazilu’s probable transfer to Brighton gives a huge chance for the young Romanian footballer to display his abilities in one of the world’s most competitive competitions. It is unknown how he will adjust to the Premier League and help Brighton achieve their goals in the forthcoming campaign.
