The manager of Arsenal, Mikel Arteta, recently discussed his continuous assessment of Kai Havertz’s ideal position within the club for the forthcoming season. The recently signed player for the Gunners, whose move was expensive at £65 million, made his professional debut in a match against Nurnberg. At the start of the second half, Arsenal was up 1-0 thanks to a goal by Bukayo Saka. Havertz joined the pitch.

Havertz, however, failed to live up to expectations as he struggled to have a significant effect from the wing. Unfortunately, a misunderstanding between Jorginho and Arsenal custodian Karl Hein led to Kanji Okunuki scoring the equaliser for Arsenal’s opponents.

Folarin Balogun had two clear-cut chances to win the game, but he failed to take either one and Arteta addressed concerns regarding Havertz’s place in the team after his relatively subdued first 45 minutes in an Arsenal uniform.

We’ll see, Arteta said in response. We need to get to know one another, establish relationships, and see how he adjusts. Time will tell where he sees the finest in football, which is about that. Arteta wants to evaluate Havertz’s performance after giving him some time to adjust to the group and develop productive on-field alliances.

The assertion expresses the knowledge that playing football requires a process of adaptation, the development of relationships, and the requirement to consider various options. As the season goes on, Arteta will keep an eye on Havertz’s improvement and look for the ideal place and role for him in the club.
