Since the Indianapolis Colts selected Campbell in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draught, Campbell had a difficult time staying healthy and was only able to participate in a select number of games per season. He played in seven games during his first season before appearing in just two in 2020 and six in 2021.
Campbell did, however, ultimately demonstrate to the Colts his value and promise during the previous season. He racked up outstanding numbers for Indianapolis, hauling in 63 passes for 623 yards and three touchdowns. He benefited from the acclaim he received for his performance by agreeing to a one-year deal with the New York Giants. According to reports, the agreement included a basic salary of $4.7 million and performance bonuses of an extra $2 million.

Campbell credited Ryan for his newfound success, saying that he gave him more confidence and enabled him to perform better on the pitch. Despite Ryan’s performance falling short of the Indianapolis offence’s expectations, his contribution to the squad was still substantial. He had a good impact on Campbell’s career, which may have big advantages for the Giants in the approaching 2023 season.
