In the forthcoming transfer window, Rasmus Hojlund is more likely to be acquired by Manchester United than Dusan Vlahovic, claims the journalist Dean Jones. According to reports, manager Erik ten Hag is looking to sign a new No. 9 since Anthony Martial’s exit is imminent and Wout Weghorst is not anticipated to sign a long-term contract.
The gap created by Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure in November requires a world-class striker, and Manchester United is aware of this requirement. The rumours about Vlahovic moving to Old Trafford have grown more intense in the wake of Juventus’ elimination from the Champions League for the upcoming season.
According to Dean Jones, Vlahovic could be moving this summer. He does, however, think that Manchester United would be more likely to sign Hojlund, who had a standout season at Atalanta and scored nine goals in Serie A at the age of 20.
“I have had an indication that it is possible to sign Vlahovic in this window, and I’m intrigued to see if anyone goes to check on Juventus’ resistance around that,” said Jones.
While Hojlund is still a possibility, Manchester United is more likely to pursue and sign Vlahovic. To bolster their lineup and increase their offensive options for the next season, the club is aggressively looking for a new striker.
