Despite early rejections of transfer rumours, Juventus is intensifying its efforts to recruit Franck Kessié this summer. The Bianconeri have focused on the Ivorian midfielder after failing to improve their midfield with other options.

Juventus has reportedly preestablished communication with Kessié’s agents and Barcelona, who are now in charge of the player’s registration, according to Calciomercato. Juventus has indicated interest in a potential loan agreement with a buyout option, hoping to make the trade profitable. Given that Kessié joined Barcelona last summer on a free transfer, this strategy makes sense.

The 26-year-old Ivorian is apparently keen to move back to Italy, and FC Barcelona is reportedly prepared to sell him for at least €25 million. Barcelona is also leaving open the prospect of a Juventus loan that is fully funded.

Juventus is now in negotiations and carefully weighing its options to decide what to do next. Even though Franck Kessié still has three years left on his Barcelona deal, it wouldn’t be unexpected to see him move to Italy during this summer’s transfer window given the circumstances.
