The New York Jets had been mentioned in connection with possible participation in “Hard Knocks” before, but this will be their first time since Rex Ryan was their head coach in 2010. The Jets made it to the AFC Championship Game that year, and the series took home a Sports Emmy.
By working together, HBO and NFL Films will provide audiences with an inside look at the Jets’ training camp through compelling narrative and behind-the-scenes access. Famous athletes including Aaron Rodgers, Garrett Wilson, Sauce Gardner, C.J. Mosley, and Quinnen Williams will participate in the series.
NFL Films Executive Producer Patrick Kelleher expressed enthusiasm for working with HBO and the Jets, highlighting the team’s legacy and prior influence on “Hard Knocks.” The forthcoming season, according to Kelleher, will introduce a new chapter to the show and include a cast full of wonderful characters and competitors.
Actor Liev Schreiber will continue to narrate “Hard Knocks” for a record-breaking 17th season, lending his distinctive voice to the show. The series gains a new level of narrative and interest thanks to Schreiber’s narration.
NFL Films, which has won a total of 18 Sports Emmy Awards, is well known for its outstanding reporting and storytelling in the world of professional football. The company continues to be a dominant influence in sports broadcasting as a member of NFL Media.
