According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Warriors have agreed to a one-year contract with seasoned forward Dario Saric for the 2023–24 season.
Since joining the NBA in 2016, “Saric” has played for four different clubs. In the Jimmy Butler trade of 2019, he was traded to Minnesota in his third season after starting his career in Philadelphia. The next summer, Saric was traded to the Suns, where he spent a portion of four years, but before the trade deadline the previous year, he was transferred once again to the Thunder.
In each of his first five seasons, Saric averaged over 10 points per game, but recent injuries have prevented him from reaching that mark since the 2019–20 season. The striker has only appeared in 107 games since 2020, missing a full season due to an ACL injury.
In a career-low 14.1 minutes per game between Phoenix and Oklahoma City last season, “Saric” averaged 6.4 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 39.1% from three-point range.
A Warriors squad that has already lost Donte DiVincenzo and Jordan Poole this summer gains depth with the addition of Saric.
