By Dani Parejo and Oriol Romeu are two prospects FC Barcelona is looking at while looking for a midfielder. The experienced Villarreal player Parejo has been repeatedly associated with Barcelona in recent transfer windows. Xavi Hernández, the manager, believes he would be a good choice for the pivot position because of his exceptional ball control. The fact that Parejo has a release clause allowing him to depart for free this summer is good news for Barcelona.
Parejo, though, has stated that he would want some form of financial recompense if talks with Barcelona were to go. He wishes to make a financial contribution to any future transaction since he is appreciative of his time at Villarreal. As a result, Barcelona can decide to offer him a reduced salary to contribute a portion of it to the Villarreal contract.
Oriol Romeu, on the other hand, has amassed greater support among the two contenders. Given his prior involvement with Barcelona’s junior divisions, his strong achievements at Girona have put him back on the club’s radar. Romeu has a release clause of 10 million euros, according to Culemana, although there are rumours that Barcelona might sign him for less, possibly around five million euros.
Ultimately, Barcelona’s board of directors is taking into consideration both Parejo and Romeu. The club must concentrate on more affordable possibilities due to budgetary limitations, but the ultimate choice will be made after discussions with the players and their clubs.
