The Jaguars-Bills game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season has proven to be difficult for fans to purchase tickets for due to the NFL’s sustained popularity in London and the clash between two playoff teams.
Fans on social media reported that when they signed on, they were confronted with alerts stating that more than 400,000 customers were ahead of them in queue. Tickets went on sale Thursday morning at 7 a.m. The situation was like attempting to acquire Taylor Swift tickets, according to several fans.
“It’s a very frustrating process as it isn’t tailored to Bills fans. It’s a system that allows for bots to register, and real fans like me don’t get a chance to get tickets. Tickets will be available afterwards at reselling website for absurd prices. This is supposed to be a home game and they should have invested in having Bills fans there. I traveled to Buffalo a few times to see my Bills, but unfortunately it looks like I won’t be able to see them in London, just two hours away from my home country Sweden,”
says Robert Silva, a Bills fan from Sweden.
Many fans claimed they anticipated paying excessive rates on resale sites in addition to the cost of travelling to London because tickets had been sold out through official channels.
Similar rumours concerning the availability of tickets for the NFL’s 2022 game in Munich were reported a year ago. As a result, this has become standard for the NFL’s European games. Even if the NFL’s ongoing ventures into Europe are profitable for the league, regular fans cannot attend.
