By The Atlanta Falcons made the wise decision to choose quarterback Desmond Ridder without using a first-round choice. Ridder’s performance in his debut season as the team’s starting quarterback, however, is projected to be greatly influenced by the good use of the three first-round selections they wisely allocated to other players.
The Falcons have significantly improved their roster over the previous three years by making top-round selections of tight end Kyle Pitts, wide receiver Drake London, and running back Bijan Robinson. Later this year, all three of these gifted athletes are projected to team up with Ridder, giving him a strong supporting cast.
In a recent appearance on ESPN, Ridder highlighted Pitts and London’s excellent size and ability to make plays while expressing his excitement about working with them. Due to their skill as ‘two monsters’ at catching the ball, he conceded that it would be rather simple for him to connect with them on the pitch.
Ridder lauded the “explosiveness” and adaptability of rookie running back Bijan Robinson in addition to Pitts and London. The quarterback recognised Robinson’s versatility on the field and how it made him a valuable member of the squad.
Ridder won’t be responsible for all of the Falcons’ game-winning choices thanks to their wise selection of these three first-round prospects. Instead, he will benefit from a diverse and effective attacking lineup to help him. The Falcons’ prospects of winning in the tough NFC South will surely increase if Ridder can successfully run the offence this season and make use of the talents of Pitts, London, and Robinson.
