Jarrett referred to Ridder’s attitude as “confident” in a recent interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio. He stated that despite the unfavourable sentiment and criticism surrounding the team’s choice, Ridder is unfazed and unwavering in his confidence in his skills. Jarrett claims that Ridder’s unshakeable faith in his skills and the persistent hard effort he puts in day in and day out are the sources of his confidence. The defensive tackle for the Falcons also voiced his faith in Ridder’s abilities and what he can do as the team’s captain on the pitch.
When he started four games for the Falcons as a rookie last year, Ridder acquired some experience. Atlanta finished those games with a 2-2 record. With a 63.5 per cent completion rate, 708 yards gained from passing, two touchdowns thrown, and notably no interceptions thrown, Ridder demonstrated his talent. He did, however, struggle with maintaining control of the ball, fumbling three times.
