Although wide receiver Chase Claypool’s tenure with the Bears in 2022 wasn’t very successful, he believes that things will be better in 2023.

After being acquired by the Bears in a trade with the Steelers, Claypool only had 14 receptions for 140 yards in seven games. This summer, there was a rumour that the organisation was not pleased with Claypool’s performance. During a trip to the UK this week, Claypool expressed a more optimistic view of the situation involving him and the squad.

The wide receiver described the Bears as “an exciting and dynamic team” that, in his opinion, is progressing much more favourably than the squad they played on the previous season.

I truly believe that this year from last year will be a night and day difference. Fans will be loving next year. I am excited. Obviously, with the additions we had in the offseason, but also being able to stack that knowledge from last season, all those learning and those growth spurts that we had to go through, I think it’s going to be great.” Claypool said.

Claypool is in a better place now that he has had time to adjust to the squad, according to offensive coordinator Luke Getsy, and that should help him in training camp. Turnarounds are crucial for both the wide receiver and the organisation because he is in the final year of his deal.
