The winger for FC Barcelona, Alex Collado, has agreed to join Real Betis on a closed contract. Collado will sign a four-season contract with an additional year’s option and join Betis on a free transfer. But if the player is ever sold, Barcelona will keep a portion of the proceeds.
Only Ayoze Pérez from Tenerife has been officially named as a new player for Betis for the next season. Héctor Bellerin’s arrival is anticipated to be revealed this week, followed by Marc Roca, a midfielder whose contract with Betis has been in place for some time.
However, as Alex Collado is close to joining Real Betis, another signing could take priority. The 24-year-old right winger has agreed to have a large amount of his contract with Barcelona, including a delayed payment and one year’s salary, forgiven, and is expected to join the team on a free transfer. In exchange, Barcelona will keep more than 30% of any further transfer fees for Collado.
As with Héctor Bellerin and Marc Roca, the official announcement of Alex Collado’s signing is pending any potential club exits. The rumoured departures of players like Loren Morón and Luiz Felipe, the latter of whom is in advanced talks with English club West Ham, might bring in a sizable sum of money for Betis.
Over the previous two seasons, Alex Collado spent time on loan at Granada and Elche, where he played in 17 games each. With Granada, he scored twice and had an assist. With Elche, he scored once and had an assist. The addition of Collado to Betis would strengthen their right-wing position, which has previously been linked to players like Adama Traoré, despite recent rumours indicating AC Milan’s keen interest.
