According to a source, AC Milan is presently in the lead in the hunt to capture Adama Traoré from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a free transfer. For the next 2023–24 season, the Italian team is actively seeking Traoré to bolster their right-wing position.
The Wolves winger’s contract only recently ended, and the organisation is not expected to extend it. Traoré is a target for Roma as well, although AC Milan presently has the upper hand in talks.
The 27-year-old Traoré has stated that he would love to compete in the UEFA Champions League next year. Stefano Pioli, the head coach of AC Milan, has given his blessing to the prospective acquisition, considering Traoré to be a useful asset for both the right-wing position as well as perhaps the left as well.
Traoré had a rather average season the year before, making 34 league appearances for the Wolves, scoring two goals and dishing out one assist. His best season to date, though, came in 2019–20, when he played in 37 games and contributed nine assists in addition to four goals.
The fact that AC Milan is pursuing Traoré shows how committed they are to strengthen their team and fixing their offensive options’ flaws. They would obtain a versatile player who could contribute successfully on both wings by maybe signing Traoré on a free transfer.
